Express Legal Solicitors

At Express Legal Solicitors, we understand that many people find the idea of seeking legal advice daunting. Often, the advice is needed at a time when life events are causing anxiety and stress. Moving house, getting divorced and losing a loved one are some of the most stressful experiences any of us can go through. Our ethos is to listen to your concerns and provide expert help, all delivered in a timely and understanding manner so as to find the best solution for you.

We understand that living in Spain or transacting business in Spain can bring added concerns about the different laws, customs and procedures and, of course, the language. As well as including qualified and regulated English and Spanish solicitors, the consultants here have many years’ experience of dealing with the problems that can be encountered and can always help or draw on the resources of other qualified professionals, where needed. We do not simply answer your question; we advise pro-actively in order to give you a fully-rounded picture to enable you to make the best decision possible.

We believe we have the only qualified English solicitor, practising and resident on the Costa Blanca who is regulated by the Solicitors Regulation Authority.

We are also there for the more everyday issues that can come up such as helping with translations, whether it is translating an official letter or speaking to an official body for you on the phone or face to face.

We are based on the northern Costa Blanca and can offer home visits by prior arrangement (and subject to location) for those who are unable to travel. Our web-based enquiry service also ensures that those looking for advice from more distant locations are also looked after.

Our office is open Monday to Friday 09:00 to 16:30, or you can call us on 0034 966 874 548, 0034 966 874 555 or mobile 0034 699 196 115, or email help@expresslegalsolicitors.com

Brexit signNew TIE Cards

On 6 July 2020, the Spanish government introduced a new residence document for UK nationals living in Spain who have rights under the Brexit Withdrawal Agreement. This is the TIE or Tarjeta de Identidad de Extranjero.

If you are a UK national legally living in Spain before 31 December 2020, you have the right to request this card.

There is a two-step process to exchange your current green residencia certificate for a TIE. We can obtain the necessary appointment online, prepare the application forms, and accompany you to the Foreigners´ Office in Alicante. It is our strong recommendation, based on information we have from the Foreigners´ Office, that people with a green residencia document do exchange them for a TIE in order to avoid possible future problems with the validity of the green document for things like immigration and taxes. The clock is ticking. For new residencia applications, the rules changed on 01/01/2021 and the process now has to be started in the UK before the Spanish Consulate. Contact us for more information.
